Our state-of-the-art Advanced Clinical Trials Centre (ACTC) opened in early 2024 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and is the first of its kind facility in Australia dedicated to bringing novel therapies through clinical trials to the cancer patients of WA.

Job Description

Your Role in Our Future

Reporting directly to the Director CTU and as part of the leadership team, you will provide your expertise, leadership skills and strategic vision to ensure that a wide range of clinical trial projects are planned and delivered successfully in line with the business, sponsor and regulatory requirements and objectives of the organisation. In this highly collaborative role, you will initiate, build and maintain relationships with both internal teams across Linear and externally with our sponsors, CRO’s and vendors as you provide a key interface between business development, project management and clinical outcomes. With a number of direct reports, you will also provide overarching leadership to a number of Project Leads and Clinical Trial Coordinators ensuring your team are able to make well informed decisions.

A full list of responsibilities can be found on the job description however some of your duties will include;

  • Identification and development of new business opportunities including actively participating in project scoping processes and start up meetings.
  • Review and analyse documentation related to the management of clinical research including confidentiality disclosure agreements, contracts, sponsor budgets, coverage analysis, financial reports, and clinical research billing
  • Review clinical trial performance metrics and develop improvement measures to promote continuous improvement in delivering trials on time, to the highest quality, and within budget;
  • Develop recommendations for areas of improvement through the closing out of studies;
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of quality management plans which support study objectives and quality acceptance criteria, and ensuring support is provided to Project Leads, and Coordinators in implementing such plans. 

Conveniently located at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, this role will be offered on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in managing a complex portfolio of projects, complex stakeholder relationships and various reporting requirements along with experience leading high-performing service delivery teams in complex, fast-paced environments.

The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Highly developed project planning, coordination and management skills with the ability to work simultaneously across multiple projects.
  • Excellent organisational skills, adaptability and the ability to work under pressure, set priorities and meet competing deadlines.
  • Building collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, foster effective partnerships, build networks and mentor and develop people.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, establish benchmarks and provide credible analyses and operational recommendations.
  • Previous experience working in clinical trials with knowledge of GCP (desirable)
